Captain Peter Olander has spent his entire life either at sea or fishing the waters of Bermuda. His first encounter with a Blue Marlin was in 1953 at eleven years old. He made his apprenticeship as a fisherman in 1954 under the guidance of the ‘grandfathers of the sports fishing in Bermuda’ captains Charlie Christainsen, Roy Taylor and Lewis Martin.
Captain Olander served in several world conflicts and wars. Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Somalia, etc.
Retired in 2003 and once again became a full-time fisherman. The captain and his crew provide the most uncompromising fishing environment available in Bermuda.
